Zanzibar is also known as the Spice Island. That is why we have named our rooms and bungalows after spices in Swahili: Mdalasini (cinnamon), Vanila (vanilla), Tangawizi (ginger), Zafarani (saffron), Karafuu (cloves), Manjano (turmeric), Kungumanga (nutmeg) and Pilipili (pepper).
